In one of the polls of cancer patients, it was polled that there has been a significant increase in the number of survivors through the years. The urban minds are much more attuned to health issues, helping cancers to be detected early on. This eventually helps in the cancer being wiped out at probably the 1st stage itself.

Another reason for this augmentation is that, since the conventional remedies are being deemed too harmful for the healthy cells of the body, a lot more people are looking at alternative treatments. Also, improvement in the general cancer awareness and an aggressive promotion of a healthier way of living has saved the day.

Today, people seem to be more aware, more conscious of their body and its woes.

One of the most accepted ways of dealing with it is physical exercise which is also an important part of alternative cancer treatments as well as the preventive measures.

Let us take a look at a few forms of cancer and the impact that exercising can have on them.

Endometrial Cancer

One of the most common forms of cancer in the gynaecological quarter, it occurs when malignant growth starts appearing on the lining of a woman’s uterus. Some have been inconclusive but several studies have successfully shown that exercising can reduce the aggressiveness of prostate cancer. Even something as simple as gardening and walking can work wonders!

Lung Cancer

A study was conducted on 37,000 women, who haven’t had any cancerous occurrence in the past 16 years by an American University. The women were split into the degrees of physical labour usually done by them & according to the findings; women who meticulously exercised everyday were less prone to acquiring lung cancer than the others.

Generally, people with a low BMI (Body Mass Index) are at a much lower risk of acquiring lung cancer, even if they smoke, than someone with a higher BMI.

This form of cancer is generally genetic in nature. A strenuous or medium workout of around 20 minutes a day can highly reduce the risk of breast cancer in women with a history of breast cancer in their family. This is one of the recent discoveries of the Breast Cancer Research. A healthy way of living can help in reducing breast cancer risk can go without saying since it is a widely known fact. Exercising changes the amount of protein in the body, hence controlling breast cancer.
